image captions & tiny mce?

I see in Plone site setup there is an option for Allow captioned images

But i am not actually seeing the caption after I enable this option.

First, I upload the image. Save.
I see a checkbox for Caption in the Add Image popup dialog.

I don't see any interface for which to add a caption. I just see

<p><img alt="hell o tray" class="image-inline captioned" src="listentryad.jpg/image_preview" /></p>

So what do I do next? And where do I input the caption? It doesn't appear to coincide with the value of Image Description. Do I need to create a special class under the style dropdown for "captioned" style. I am confused.

Which version of Plone?

IIRC the captions are introduced by the
'html-to-captioned' transformation which
per default gets included for the
'text/x-html-safe' output type (see the
policy tab on the portal_transformation
tool in ZMI for all of this).

The captions themselves should indeed be
the description of the image.

Re: image captions & tiny mce & Plone 4?

In Plone 4 beta 3, when I check image captions, the rendered output does not show any caption; it only shows that the image has a class called "captioned."

A bug perhaps? Can anyone confirm this?

No, at least a current plone-coredev (4.0 branch) behaves
as expected, aka when captions are enabled in the
TinyMCE configlet (Resource Types tab) and I include
an image that has a description set and I tick the
'caption' flag within the 'Insert/edit image' dialog
I do get the description underneath the embedded image.

Note that there is an option to enable captions for TinyMCE, and a
separate one for kupu, and which one takes effect depends on which
editor has its transform in the text/x-safe-html transform policy.

Re: image captions & tiny mce & Plone 4?

Thanks. For some reason, the caption is not showing up in my default install.

I'll recheck my settings and check it after I install beta 4. If the problem persists, I'll file a bug report....
